ABSC's Alex Dempsey has been named the Athens Banner Herald's All-Area Swimmer of the Year. Alex, who is a senior at Prince Avenue Christian School, placed third in the 100 Backstroke at GHSA State, with a time of 52.90. This time earned him All-State Honorable Mention.

As our swimmers move on to the Long Course season, Alex is looking forward to the fall, when he will enrol at Mercersberg Academy, in preparation for accepting a spot at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Alex plans on continuing his swimming there and we wish him the best as he prepares to move on from ABSC.
