An ABSC Senior Boys 200 Yard Medley Relay consisting of Alex Dempsey, Lawson Floyd, Ryan Browning, and Chad Cown broke a 15 year old club record at the recently held Northern Divisional Championships.  

The record breaking relay touched in at 1:39.46 for a first place finish. The previous mark was 1:40.35 and was set in 1992 by Jarrad Evans, Lee Lynch, Matt Buck, and Jeff Popell. Buck, an Athens native, was an All American and NCAA Breaststroke Champion. Poppell was an All American and UGA team captain. He is currently the Head Swim Coach at the University of Arkansas.

The 2008 team was lead by Lawson Floyd, a UGA freshman who currently trains with ABSC, but recently made the cuts necessary to walk on to the UGA Varsity squad. Cown is a Junior at Oconee, Dempsey is a Sophomore at Prince Avenue, and Browning is a Sophomore at North Oconee. Congratulations to them all!
