The Athens Bulldog Swim Club

The Gabrielsen Natatorium, located in the Ramsey Student Physical Activities Center on the University of Georgia's Campus, is the home base of the Athens Bulldog Swim Club.

The facility is located at 330 River Road. For those who are already in Athens, a printable campus map is available here (must have Adobe Acrobat reader). Directions from locations outside of Athens are written out below.

If you're coming for a tryout out with the team, or would like to watch one of our practices, please come in through the spectator entrance (in front of the main set of doors turn left and continue down the sidewalk past the gym). Check in with the attendant on duty and enter the bleachers in Section A. The pool will be visible directly below.

From the Atlanta Airport: I-85 north through downtown Atlanta and take exit 106 (GA 316) approximately 20 miles north of downtown. Travel 316 east approximately 45 miles to the Athens by-pass (the exit is for the UGA Stadium, Athens--29 N 78 E). Follow the by-pass for approximately 4.5 miles and take the College Station Road Exit. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp then turn right at the second light onto River Road. The NATATORIUM is located in the Ramsey Student Center approximately 500 yards on the left. Park in the East Campus Parking Deck or in the lots to the right. (This way may take longer during afternoon rush hours.) 

Alternate directions: Travel I-285 north/east and exit onto I-20 eastbound. Travel 20 east to GA 138 in Conyers. Travel GA 138 northeast to US 78 east to GA 316 and then follow the directions for GA 316 above. (The Athens by-pass will be approximately 10 miles after you get on GA 316.) 

From Tennessee (I-75 Southbound): Travel I-75 South to the Atlanta by-pass (I-285). Travel east (towards Greenville) to I-85 north. Travel 85 north to exit 41 (GA 316). Travel 316 east approximately 45 miles to the Athens by-pass (the exit is for the UGA Stadium, Athens--29 N 78 E). Follow the by-pass for approximately 4.5 miles and take the College Station Road Exit. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp then turn right at the second light onto River Road. From Alabama (I-85 Northbound): Travel I-85 north through downtown Atlanta and take exit 41 (GA 316) approximately 20 miles north of downtown. Travel 316 east approximately 45 miles to the Athens by-pass (the exit is for the UGA Stadium, Athens--29 N 78 E). Follow the by-pass for approximately 4.5 miles and take the College Station Road Exit. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp then turn right at the second light onto River Road. From Alabama (I-20 Eastbound): Travel I-20 east to downtown Atlanta to I-85 north. Travel 85 north to exit 41 (GA 316) approximately 20 miles north of downtown. Then follow directions for GA 316 below. Travel 316 east approximately 45 miles to the Athens by-pass (the exit is for the UGA Stadium, Athens--29 N 78 E). Follow the by-pass for approximately 4.5 miles and take the College Station Road Exit. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp then turn right at the second light onto River Road. The NATATORIUM is located in the Ramsey Student Center approximately 500 yards on the left. Park in the East Campus Parking Deck or in the lots to the right. (This way may take longer during afternoon rush hours). 

Alternate directions: Travel I-20 east through Atlanta and travel towards Augusta. In Conyers take exit for GA 138. Travel 138 northeast to US 78 east. Travel US 78 to GA 316 east and then follow the directions for GA 316 eastbound below. (The Athens by-pass will be approximately 10 miles after you get on GA 316). 

From South Carolina (I-20 Westbound): Travel I-20 west to exit for US 78. Travel north on US 78 to Athens. In Athens, travel under Athens by-pass (10 loop) and get on the loop traveling west. Take the first exit (College Station Road.) And turn right. Turn right at first traffic light. The NATATORIUM is in the Ramsey Student Center approximately 500 yards on the left. Park either in the East Campus Parking Deck or in the lots to the right. 

Alternate directions: Travel I-20 to highway 15. Travel north on 15 through Watkinsville. Approximately 5 miles after passing thru Watkinsville turn right onto Milledge Ave. Travel under by-pass (10 loop) and turn left onto the loop. Take the first exit (College Station Road) and turn left. Take a right at the second traffic light ( River Road). The NATATORIUM is located in the Ramsey Student Center approximately 500 yards on the left. Park in the East Campus Parking Deck or in the lots to the right. 

From North/South Carolina (I-85 Southbound): Travel south on I-85 to exit 53 (GA 441/ Commerce). Travel south on GA 441 towards Athens. Get on the Athens by-pass which is still 441 south and get off at the College Station Road Exit. Turn right at the bottom of the exit and then right at the first stop light (River Road). The Ramsey Center is approximately 500 yards on the left. Park in the East Campus parking deck or any lot next to the deck.
